Dad's Day at the Capitol 2026

Summary

Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, will be the second annual “Dad’s Day at the Capitol” at the Louisiana State Capitol in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. From 9 am to 4 pm that day, more than 100 fathers from across Louisiana will converge on the State Capitol to ensure their voices are heard on issues affecting fathers, families, and children. This initiative has grown organically out of efforts by Fathers on A Mission, Fathers Matter, Dad-A-Port, Louisiana Policy Institute for Children, the New Orleans Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, Promoting Opportunities for Paternal Support (P.O.P.S.), Rapides Station Community Ministries, Total Community Action, Inc., Training Grounds, United Way of Southeast Louisiana, and others
